Join us and the Hillsburgh Garden Club for a practical workshop covering "cold stratification" of seeds.
This informative gardening workshop will help bring awareness of which flower seeds require "cold stratification" to help break down the seed casing for it to germinate and grow, come springtime.
All seeds and materials will be provided. Once the jugs have been filled with seeds and soil, participants can take them home to be housed in a snow bank until spring, when they will be ready for planting.
Hillsburgh Branch is located by the Elora Cataract Trailway and Hillsburgh mill pond. Resources include a rentable meeting room, professional kitchen, study room, shaded patio, and parkland. Wi-Fi, computer access and snow shoes are also available.
