Learn to thread and operate a sewing machine, then create a simple project. Machines are also available for in-branch use.

Use your sewing skills to make your own easy, fun, bed pillowcase. You supply the fabric and we supply the instructions. Must have sewing machine knowledge and have basic sewing skills.

 Adults, teen and tweens with supervision.

Please register and indicate if you will need to use a Branch machine.

Supplies for Perfect Pillowcase for a Bed Pillow
These fabrics will give you one standard pillowcase.  If you would like a larger pillowcase, increase the body amount. 100% cotton is recommended for all the fabrics.  
 
1/3 yard fabric for border – this is your decorative end piece 
3/4 yard fabric for main body portion  
1 1/2inch x Width of Fabric (optional)- a fabric that will separate the other two fabrics and give an extra pop of colour – piping works as well 
spool of coordinating thread

Erin Branch is currently located in Centre 2000 and shares library space with Erin District High School. A new branch is planned for 2025. Resources include Wi-Fi and computer access.
